Lindsay’s Out-Takes

NY Magazine has released new “out-take” photos from Linday’s Lohan‘s now infamous Marilyn Monroe-inspired shoot. See the other revealing rejected shots HERE.

Lindsay as Marilyn

February 18, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · Comment

Lindsay Lohan appears like she’s never been seen before in the Spring Fashion issue of New York magazine on stands today.

In an exclusive photo portfolio by Bert Stern, the same photographer who shot the original “Last Sitting” six weeks before Marilyn Monroe was found dead due to an apparent overdose in 1962, Lohan recreates the famous series of photos down to a tee. From the lighting and the shellacked blonde wig to Lohan’s willingness to appear in little more than a chiffon scarf, the photos were shot on Feb. 5 at the Hotel Bel-Air. Telling the magazine that she was comfortable with the nudity, although admitting she had done “250 crunches” the night before the shoot, Lohan explained why it was so easy to recreate the well-known photos. “I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.”

No stranger to scandal herself, Lohan calls Monroe’s suicide “tragic” and tells the magazine, “You know, it’s also tragic what just recently happened to someone else.” When asked if she was referring to Heath Ledger, she answered, “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to somone.” Adding, “…I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.”

Lindsay Speaks

February 4, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · Comment

It’s been six months since Lindsay Lohan left Cirque Lodge in Utah and she’s finally speaking for the first time about her party-girl ways as well as getting back to work and her life now, sans bad influences.

Gracing the March cover of the UK edition of Glamour, Lohan tells the magazine that since she’s the type of person who wants to trust everyone, it has been hard to hang out with some friends because they have gone different paths.

Expressing empathy for other fellow celebrities, Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse, who are going through some of the same troubles Lohan faced, she says she would be lying if she said she would never go to a club again, insisting that she is now more comfortable with her own company. “I’m fine being alone during the day, but I hate being alone at night. I like having friends around me, but now I’d much rather be at home,” Lohan explains to the magazine. She says she fills her days now with writing in her journal and by watching TV.

And what does she think is the biggest misconception others have of her? “That I don’t have my head in the right place. That, and probably that I’m not a good person…because actually I am.”

Lindsay headed to the morgue

January 18, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · 1 Comment

Lindsay Lohan is entering the next phase of her sentence for misdemeanor drunk driving – and the good news is, she’ll be prepared if she’s ever up for a role on CSI. After fulfilling several requirements set by her DUI plea agreement – including rehab, community service and 84 minutes spent in jail – Lohan will next have to spend some time in a morgue, her lawyer, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday at a hearing in a Los Angeles court, the Associated Press reports. In an effort to illustrate the potentially fatal consequences of drinking and driving, she’s set to spend two, 4-hour days in a morgue. After that, she’ll spend two days working in an emergency room. The actress, 21, reached a plea agreement in August based on charges from two separate DUI incidents, one in May in Beverly Hills and one in July in Santa Monica. Lohan did not attend Thursday’s hearing, which was held to gauge her progress in meeting the terms of her deal. Morgue duty will certainly be a comedown from Lohan’s usual world of red carpets and events. On Wednesday, she stole the show at the Hollywood premiere for Cloverfield, where she shone in a black Hervé Léger cocktail dress – and stuck to Red Bull and water.

Lindsay sued again

January 9, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · Comment

Lindsay Lohan may be heading back to court again soon. Tracie Rice, who was in a car driven by Michele Peck, the mother of Lohan’s assistant, when Lohan chased their car to the Santa Monica Police department on July 24, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court. Rice, who originally filed the suit last August, added papers with more claims in December, according to the Associated Press. She is seeking unspecified damages. After the incident, Dina Lohan released a statement that said: “We are doing everything in our power in support of Lindsay and I won’t give up – this is my daughter and we love her.” Shortly after the alleged carjacking, Lohan, 21, was charged with DUI and possession of a controlled substance. Then, on August 5, Lohan admitted she was “addicted to alcohol and drugs” and checked into Utah’s Cirque Lodge for treatment. She served an 84-minute jail sentence as a result of her July arrest and a separate DUI on May 26. Rice claims she has spent about $7,000 on medical bills, including a therapist who charges $175 per visit, and lost her $60,000 per year job due to the chase. In the original filing, Rice claimed that Lohan, 21, put she and Peck “at extreme risk of death or injury” until they arrived at the police station, where police met them with guns drawn, and that she “thought she was being carjacked.” Lohan recently took a sip of champagne in a party in Italy, but her lawyer says she’s “back on track” and is now sober. She’s still facing court charges from Raymundo Ortega, a busboy at The Ivy, who is suing the actress for $200,000 in damages after a crash between his van and her Mercedes in Beverly Hills last October. A rep for Lohan couldn’t be reached for comment.

Lohan seen drinking on video

January 3, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · 1 Comment

Lindsay Lohan suffered a setback in her sobriety over New Year’s, but is back on track, her lawyer said Thursday. A video of the actress drinking champagne directly from a bottle while in Capri, Italy, hit the Internet Thursday, first appearing on TMZ.com. “After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year’s Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track,” her lawyer, Blair Berk, said. “There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her ‘one day at a time’ with the entire world.” Lohan was in Italy to receive an award at the 12th Annual Capri Hollywood International Film Festival. In a video, she is seen thanking organizers for inviting her to the festival, giving a shout out to John Malkovich, then later taking a swig from a bottle of champagne while on the dance floor. In October, Lohan checked out of the exclusive Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah, where she had been in treatment since August. Lohan’s treatment there began in the weeks following her early morning July 24 arrest in Santa Monica, Calif., on suspicion of drunken driving after a brief car chase.

Linday’s rehab boyfriend was a loser

January 3, 2008 · Filed Under Lindsay Lohan · Comment

Lindsay Lohan‘s manager-mom Dina Lohan says that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Riley Giles, purposefully hurt the actress – but denies a recent report that she called his mother to berate her parenting skills. “I never spoke to Riley’s mom, nor would I blame her for his behavior,” Dina said. “Riley is a grown man.” The report claimed the phone call was made after Giles sold the story of his affair with Lohan to News of the World. Dina, however, did slam Giles for his tell-all interview with the paper, in which he revealed intimate details of their relationship. “He took desperate measures to hurt Lindsay because she broke up with him,” she says. Lohan, 21, and Giles, 25, who met while seeking treatment at Utah’s Cirque Lodge this past summer, split in late November.
