On the two-year anniversary of her split from Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson has a new man in her life: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Romo has been linked in recent months to Sophia Bush, Britney Spears and Alli Sims. He has also dated Carrie Underwood. The singer, 27, spent Thanksgiving with Romo. She also showed up to watch him at a Texas home game Thanksgiving Day and referred to him as “my man” to friends. The new couple dined at the Dragonfly restaurant in the Hotel ZaZa in Dallas with Simpson’s parents, Joe and Tina, and her friend and former assistant CaCee Cobb and her beau Donald Faison.

Jessica renews lucrative endorsement deal
Jessica Simpson renewed her deal with Proactiv Solution and has made new infomercials that will air close to Christmas. “She did re-sign for another year,” said her business manager. “She has a great relationship with them.” Simpson is rumored to have landed a $3 million paycheck for the new ads.
Jessica house hunts in NYC
Jessica Simpson may be getting back to her country roots, but she has her sights set on an apartment in NYC. Simpson recently finished filming Major Movie Star and is now thinking about creating a country album, according to her dad. After spending a few nights clubbing and dining around town, the 27-year-old was spotted searching for the dwelling of her dreams. “I’m looking at places because my record label is in New York and I want to be close to that and I’m singing again,” Simpson told press at the Operation Smile 25th Anniversary Gala in Beverly Hills on Friday. “I’m looking forward to it.” Simpson was looking at condos in the $2 to $12 million range all over Manhattan.
Ashlee’s dad confirms the obvious
After more than a year of coy answers from Ashlee Simpson regarding her May 2006 nose job, her father Joe has finally confirmed that his daughter went under the knife. In an interview with Fox news, Joe says he had no control over Ashlee’s decision to undergo rhinoplasty. “Girls have their own ideas,” he shrugged. “Anyway, there was a real problem with her breathing and that was cured.” Simpson Sr., who serves as manager to both his daughters, credits good parenting as the reason his daughters haven’t gone the way of Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. “We have a real family,” he said. “You can’t just put these kids out in the world and they’re on their own. I can remember a time when Jessica was singing at Madison Square Garden and her outfit ripped before she went on. We were there for her.” And then there was Ashlee’s SNL debacle: “She’s lost her voice, and Jordan Schur [then the head of her record label] insisted she lip-sync,” Joe said. “She’d never done it before. She didn’t want to do it. Anyway, she’ll never do it again. We just did a huge tour, and there was no lip-syncing.” The former Baptist minister also denies claims that he’s a controlling father. “I don’t tell my girls who to date or marry or what to do.” He also has no hard feelings against former son-in-law Nick Lachey. “I have nothing against Nick,” he said. “But they got married very young. I told Jessica, ‘You’re going to hit an age when it’s all going to be clear to you – life, that is – and you’ll know what you want to do.’ I do blame 50 percent of their breakup on the media.”
Jessica considering country album
Jessica Simpson is ready to add another accessory to her look – a cowboy hat. The singer is “talking about doing a country record and going back to her roots, being from Texas,” Simpson’s father and manager, Joe Simpson, said at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Rolling Stone party in Las Vegas. “Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing, and country music still believes in that.” Simpson, 27, recently wrapped on Major Movie Star and is turning her thoughts back to music. “She’s a singer from top to bottom,” her dad said. “And everything in the music business, especially pop music, has moved away from singers. And I think country is the only pure storytelling kind of genre left.” On whether she will be accepted by country fans, he said, “She’s from Texas. How could she not?”
Jessica angers party guests
Jessica Simpson infuriated fashionistas at a W magazine bash in NYC last night when she took over an entire balcony and barred guests from the area. The party, honoring Simpson’s stylist Britt Bardo, was extremely hot and guests kept retreating to the balcony to cool off and get some fresh air. But after Simpson arrived, publicists cleared out the entire patio for the singer and her posse, angering the crowd and causing most of the guests to leave. “It was so hot and she got the whole thing just for herself? I am livid,” one partygoer said. Once outside, Simpson talked mostly to her hair guru Ken Paves and danced while publicists fiercely guarded the door and wouldn’t let any other guests on the patio. “I am doing great and really enjoying fashion week,” she said.

Jessica jealous of John and Cameron
A source close to Jessica Simpson says the singer is “really jealous” that ex John Mayer is seeing Cameron Diaz. “She had her mouth open a mile wide when she found out,” says the source. “She just freaked.” Simpson split with Mayer in May after dating him on and off for seven months, and “she thinks about him all the time,” says the source. “She is so not over him.”

Happy birthday Jessica Simpson! The singer celebrated her 27th birthday at the Silver Spoon Beach Body house in Malibu on Tuesday, but had to move the event after paparazzi tracked her down. Simpson donned a white summer dress to lunch with five pals at the private home rented out for celebrity events, and had planned an evening barbecue with more friends and family before changing the venue to her folks’ place. “It was a private party and they wanted to keep it private,” said a source close to the birthday girl. “She was there with all of her closest friends and family. She had a great time. It was a great night.”
