Penelope Cruz has a new man – Spanish actor Javier Bardem, spending a romantic few days in the Republic of Maldives earlier this month. Cruz and Bardem are longtime friends and starred together in the 1992 dramatic comedy Jamon, Jamon. They began dating after reunited on the set of Woody Allen’s as-yet-untitled Spanish project.
New beau for Cameron?
Cameron Diaz and her latest rumored fling, actor Bradley Cooper, reportedly spent a romantic weekend together in New York. They dined at Asia de Cuba at Morgan’s Hotel on Saturday night and then hit the SNL afterparty at Primehouse on Park Avenue South. One onlooker said the twosome “were very close and lovey. Something is definitely going on, and it’s clear they are more than just friends.” The pair were also spotted on the sidelines at the Giants game on Sunday, along with Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Cooper is recently divorced after a brief marriage to Jennifer Esposito.
New couple alert: John Mayer and Minka Kelly
John Mayer is making some serious rounds in the celebrity dating pool. He and new galpal Minka Kelly of Friday Night Lights proved their couple status this weekend with a few hand-holding photo ops.
Clooney’s new girl
George Clooney‘s new girlfriend made her public debut as his date at the Venice and Deauville film festivals. A source close to the actor says 28-year-old Sarah Larson is getting the thumbs-up from his pals. “She’s really nice and generally liked by George’s friends,” said the source. Clooney “couldn’t keep his hands off her” at Venice’s Hotel Cipriani, site of the afterparty for his flick Michael Clayton, according to an observer. “At one point he just leaned over and kissed her on the lips,” said a fellow partygoer. “My god, she is stunning.” Larson, a one-time Fear Factor winner, works as a cocktail waitress at Las Vegas’s Moon nightclub in the Palms Casino Resort, where Ocean’s Thirteen had its premiere June 6. The pair have reportedly been inseparable since Larson flew to France with Clooney on September 1 for the Deauville film fest.
Drew’s new guy?
Drew Barrymore has reportedly moved on from director Spike Jonze – with her future co-star (in He’s Just Not that Into You) and the “Mac” guy Justin Long. After the new couple were spotted cuddling in a party in LA on August 25 and kissing three days later during dinner with friends, Barrymore and Long partied with Cameron Diaz in Vegas on Sunday night. “It was hot and heavy,” says an onlooker. “They were all over each other!”
Cameron and John have another date
Cameron Diaz and John Mayer added fuel to the rumors that they are a couple this weekend, with outings in NYC. The pair were reportedly “all over each other” and “super flirty” at the Bowery Hotel on Friday night. Sitting together on a couch in the back of the patio, Diaz and Mayer “were laughing and talking a lot,” said an onlooker. Asked if the pair are dating, a source close to Mayer said, “Yes, it’s definitely true.” Reps for both celebs had no comment.
New couple? John and Cameron’s night out
John Mayer seems to have rebounded from his last celebrity breakup – and moved on to another. Mayer was spotted out in NYC last night with Cameron Diaz. “They went out to several places… It was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town,” says a source. Diaz is in New York filming What Happens in Vegas, and has reportedly known Mayer casually for a while. “This was technically not their first time hanging out…they’ve hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It’s new and developing…but they really like each other and it went well,” said the source. Reps for both stars have not commented.
Hilary steps out with hockey hunk
Who’s Hilary Duff‘s new guy? The With Love singer was spotted getting cozy with New York Islanders hockey player Mike Comrie at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica last night. According to TMZ, the pair first hooked up while jet skiing in Idaho.
