Happy bday Katie! (and Brad and Xtina)

Happy birthday to Brad Pitt, Katie Holmes and Christina Aguilera!
Pitt (born in Shawnee, Oklamoma, in 1963), Holmes (born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1978) and Aguilera (born in Staten Island, NY in 1980) all mark the passing of another year today.
Brangelina’s weekend outing
Fresh from his do-gooding mission in New Orleans, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie joined Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale at the WBC Welterweight title fight match as American Floyd Mayweather knocked Brit Ricky Hatton out in the 10th round Saturday. The cozy couples were later spotted getting into the same limo afterwards. No doubt the pairs swapped parenting tips. After all, Stefani delivered her son Kingston in May 2006 the day before Jolie gave birth to daughter Shiloh. The couples have also shared a playdate. Pitt has been a longtime pal of Stefani: He and Jennifer Aniston attended Stefani and Rossdale’s 2003 L.A. wedding ceremony.
Brangelina to spend the holidays in New Orleans
The jet-setting Brangelina clan are spending the holidays in New Orleans. Angelina Jolie spoke to Usmagazine.com at Monday’s Hot Pink Party in New Orlean’s Lower Ninth Ward, where Brad Pitt launched his new “Make It Right” foundation. Son Maddox, 6, was also on-hand. “I’m working on a film [The Changeling in L.A.], but we’ll be back for Christmastime,” Jolie, 32, said. “We’ll be here through Christmas.” (The family bought a $3.5 million mansion in the French Quarter last January.) Though Jolie didn’t glam up in one of her usual red carpet looks, she donned a chic black trench coat, a fashion fave for the actress. When asked the age-old question if she were pregnant, Jolie’s eyes widened and she replied, “No.” During the event, Jolie chatted with locals, but cut the conversation short when Jerry Lee Lewis (“Great Balls of Fire”) took the stage. Pitt was also excited, as he snapped photos of the singing legend on his digital camera.
Brad’s eco-friendly good deed
Brad Pitt expects the foundations to be built for at least 150 eco-friendly homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward by the end of next summer. “I’m hoping we can expand here and expand over into the rest of New Orleans,” the 43-year-old actor said Monday morning in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show, as he walked through the devastated neighbourhood. The initiative, called Make It Right, is Pitt’s latest effort to help the area recover from Hurricane Katrina. Pitt has also worked with the environmental organization Global Green USA to build five single-family homes and an 18-unit apartment complex and community centre; earlier this year, he and Angelina Jolie purchased a mansion in the city’s French Quarter for US$3.5 million. Pitt has pledged $5 million of his own money toward the project and – calling himself “not much of a salesman” – was campaigning for more donations for the cause. “I mean, this is really an adopt-a-house campaign,” he said. “I’m asking for foundations, for high net-worth individuals, for church groups, for corporations to come in and adopt a house – basically, $150,000 will get a family back in their home.” Pitt has teamed up with 13 architects for the project, and explained that each home will be built on stilts as a precaution against the threat of flooding. He said design requirements for the homes were “affordability, sustainability, safety – and that they be beautiful.”
No more nude scenes for Brad
Brad Pitt has vowed not to film any more nude scenes – because he doesn’t want his kids to see them. “I don’t want to be embarrassed when my kids get old enough to see my films,” Pitt told the BBC in an interview that aired Tuesday. “I can’t see any more nude scenes [in my career].” Pitt previously burned up the screen in the buff for Thelma and Louise and Troy. As for his future in film, the 43-year-old said, “I figure I’ve got very few films left. Who knows how many I’ll get to do now, so I want to do something I’m interested in. Otherwise, I don’t want to bother. I think it’s a younger person’s game.” Pitt, who recently dropped out of the film State of Play, said he wasn’t interested in making anymore Ocean’s movies. “There’s no more,” he said of the series of caper flicks he made with George Clooney and Matt Damon. “I think we need to put away childish things.” Of working with his buddies again, Pitt added, “We’ll find something else. I just don’t think there’s anywhere to go with that particular story.”
Brad pulls out of political flick
Brad Pitt has pulled out of Universal’s political thriller State of Play because of script concerns. The move comes after a couple of weeks of meetings between Pitt and director Kevin MacDonald in an attempt to iron out the concerns. The script cannot be worked on because of the Hollywood screenwriters’ strike. Universal is on the fast track to replace the star. Sources say the studio is looking at Johnny Depp, whose movie Shantaram was just postponed by Warner Bros., as well as Russell Crowe. Pitt was set to star with Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the adaptation of the British miniseries. He was to play a political consultant-turned-journalist who heads a newspaper’s murder investigation involving a fast-rising politician (Norton). According to sources, the studio is mulling its legal options and might sue Pitt. Universal confirmed his departure in a statement: “Brad Pitt has left the Universal Pictures production of State of Play. We remain committed to this project and to the filmmakers, cast members, crew and others who are also involved in making the movie. We reserve all rights in this matter.”
Pitt considering Unabomber flick?
Would Brad Pitt be a convincing Unabomber? His production company, Plan B, is considering a biopic about Ted Kaczynski, the Harvard-educated, manifesto-scribbling, beard-sporting, imprisoned-for-life terrorist who killed three and wounded 23 with his letter bombs. The manhunt for Kaczynski was one of the most expensive in FBI history. There’s also a family angle to the potential film: it was Ted’s brother David, and anti-death-penalty activist, who ultimately turned him in to the authorities. Pitt’s publicist confirms that Plan B is “looking at” a Unabomber script, but stresses that the production company is not yet involved in a formal way. “It’s not a project they’ve taken on yet,” she says. “It’s something they’re looking at.” She adds that Plan B’s execs get “a million scripts thrown at them” and not always for Pitt. “He doesn’t star in everything they produce, clearly.”
Got your Brangelina costume ready?

In a Captain Morgan/Kelton Research survey of six hundred Americans, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were named 2007′s most popular celebrity costume. But since few of us have four children we can borrow for a night on the town, you might want to try one of the survey’s runner-ups: Britney and KFed, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the Beckhams or the Bushes. Flying solo this Halloween? Why not go as a TV host? Of the late-night crew, those polled thought Jay Leno would make the best ensemble. Oprah Winfrey was the poll’s top pick of the daytime hosts.
