30 Ridiculous Celebrity Demands
It’s no secret some celebrities can get a little…imaginative…with their demands. While some demands are silly, others are downright unreasonable.
Whether it’s a call in advance to a luxury hotel or written into a concert rider, some celebrities aren’t afraid to make special requests for their special needs.
And boy are they special.
- Barbra Streisand - During a recent visit to London, Barbra Streisand made similar requests at two different hotels. These included rose petals in the toilet (WTF? You’re just going to pee on them anyway), peach colored toilet tissue to match her complexion, and 120 designer bath towels, also in peach.
- Christina Aguilera must have a police escort meet her at the airport and lead her limo because she refuses to deal with traffic. Backstage, she must have a jar of Flinstones Vitamins.
- Mariah Carey insists a new toilet seat and gold faucets are installed in her hotel suite before she checks in. She flies in her own personal bed linens and must have enough of a certain kind of mineral water so she and her dog can bathe in it each day. Also, when on tour Mariah’s dressing room must contain one box of bendy straws, two air purifiers, puppies and kittens (oh dear Lord), an attendant to take her used chewing gum and Cristal champagne. Friends and Family: Jamie Lynn Will Be a ‘Great Mom’
Jamie Lynn Spears’s hometown of Kentwood, La., was buzzing with the news she gave birth, with friends and relatives expressing surprise, relief and confidence the 17-year-old will be a good mother.“She’s awfully young to be a momma,” says distant cousin Margie Busby. “But that’s what they make [grandmothers] for. They have to help. That’s the way it is with our circle of friends.”
Second cousin Janet Bridges acknowledges, “I didn’t even know she had the baby,” but gives a thumbs up to the baby girl’s name. “Ooh, I like ‘Maddie,’” says Bridges.
The birth was the talk of Kentwood. “I’m really happy for her and her family,” says Jennifer Pike, who works at the corner store where the Spears family often shops.
“There will probably be some rough times and some bumpy times, but I wish the best for her. I wish her all the luck in the world.” Read more

Jessica Alba’s costars Justin Timberlake and Mike Myers in The Love Guru showered the new mom with well-wishes Monday.“Congratulations Jessica!” said Timberlake at a press day in L.A. for the comedy. “She seems very patient, and I would assume that’s what it takes to be a good mother, a good parent for that matter.”
Alba, 27, and her husband Cash Warren, 31, welcomed daughter Honor Marie Warren on Saturday in Los Angeles.
“Honor Marie – that’s a cool name,” Timberlake says. “I’m happy for them. It’s beautiful.”
“She’ll be a great mother,” adds Myers. “She’s smart, she’s talented and she’s one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever worked with.” Read more

Brad Pitt to Design Dubai Hotel
Soon-to-be father of six Brad Pitt is one busy daddy – as he’s been named designer of a green hotel and resort in Dubai.
“Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion,” Pitt, who is also building affordable, environmentally-friendly homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward, said in a statement.
The 44-year-old movie star will be part of a team of design consultants for the 800-room, five-star hotel spearheaded by L.A.-based architecture firm GRAFT. Read more

Will Smith: ‘Divorce Is Not An Option’

On Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres noted that Will and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have been married for 10 years, unheard of in Hollywood. “It’s like dog years when you’re married here,” she said. “That’s like 50 years, right?
“What I found is divorce just can’t be an option,” the actor explained. “It’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with L.A. – there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.” Read more
Clay Aiken Is Going to Be a Dad

Clay Aiken is going to be a father, PEOPLE has confirmed.“The story is true,” a rep for producer David Foster, the pregnant woman’s brother, told PEOPLE Wednesday, of the TMZ.com report that Aiken, 29, impregnated David’s sister, music producer Jaymes Foster.
“It is true Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She’s due in August.”
The rep added of Aiken and Foster, “They have been friends ever since American Idol, when they worked together.”
Foster also executive produced Aiken’s album A Thousand Different Ways. Read more
