Britney’s Dad Gets Legal Control

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, has attained legal control over his daughter’s affairs. This means that Jamie can have control over hospital visitors, and can keep Britney’s friend Sam Lutfi from seeing Britney. The court has also agreed that Jamie Spears has the right to request restaining orders on behalf of his daughter.
While Jamie Spears will get temporary authority over Spears’s money and home, this decision does not give him further authority or power when it comes to Britney’s psychiatric care at UCLA Hospital.
Lufti in response to the agreement said “I object to this. Britney is fully capable of handling her own finances … Her doctors are capable of handling her heath care. You think in a time like this, the family would be at the hospital taking care of their daughter, rather than fighting for her money. How sad.”
