Mandy and Wilmer back on?
Former couple Mandy Moore and Wilmer Valderrama were spotted looking cozy at a nightclub in Miami this week, sparking rumors that the pair may once again be an item. “Wilmer and Mandy arrived together,” a source said, “but they were careful not to be photographed together. Nonetheless, Wilmer was doting on Mandy the whole time, and they were very close to each other the whole night. She was dressed casually with her hair in a ponytail and hoodie sweatshirt.” Moore and Valderrama dated for a year and a half before splitting in 2001. Lindsay Lohan, another ex of Valderrama, was reportedly at the same club, though the only interaction between the young stars were smiles and waves.
Tiger to be a dad
Tiger Woods and his wife have announced they are expecting their first child. In a message posted on his website yesterday, Woods said, “As some of you know, today is my 31st birthday. I’ll spend it quietly with family and friends, but Elin and I have more exciting news to share. We are expecting our first child together this summer. Obviously, we couldn’t be happier and our families are thrilled. I have always wanted to be a dad. I just wish my father could be around to share the experience.”

Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams flew to Australia just before Christmas to attend Ledger’s father’s wedding. The couple arrived in a stretch limo to the waterfront venue in Perth. Rumors of the couple’s own possible impending nuptials have been flying since the pair were allegedly spotted picking up a marriage license at City Hall in NYC a month or so ago.
Everyone is tired of Paris
Finally, it seems like people are tired of Paris Hilton. In a recent magazine poll, 36% said the tabloid headline they’d most like to read would be “Paris Hilton Goes Into Permanent Hiding.” Readers picked Angelina Jolie as mother of the year (followed by Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow), and 41% want to have Jennifer Aniston’s wardrobe.
Nick and Jessica settle the money issue
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have finally cleared up the last issue remaining between them - the separation of their assets. Details of the settlement have not been publicly disclosed, but it is known that the couple had no prenup and earned a reported $36 million during their marriage. Under California law, Simpson and Lachey could have divided their assets equally, with each walking away with $18 million. However, Simpson is alleged to have offered her ex only $1.5 million, which he rejected. Sources say that under the terms of their final agreement, Lachey will receive “significantly” more than $1.5 mil, but less than $18 mil. The former couple have legally agreed not to disclose info about their financial status.
Nicole and Joel “inseparable”
Things are quickly getting serious between Nicole Richie and her new man Joel Madden. Sources say Richie is “moving stuff out of her West Hollywood condo into his Glendale home.” Not everyone is pleased about their hookup - Madden’s brother and bandmate Benji is reportedly “furious.” Richie is expected to spend New Year’s Eve at the Palms in Vegas with Madden, where he has a DJ gig. The insider also said the pair “have already become inseparable, and spend almost every night together.” I don’t see the appeal of him, myself…
