60 Minutes vet says Tom has no idea
60 Minutes veteran Mike Wallace has spoken out about Tom Cruise’s public campaign against anti-depressant medications, saying, “Tom simply does not know what he is talking about.” The long-time reporter has suffered for years from depression, and even announced recently that he tried to kill himself 20 years ago. “Tom simply does not know what he is talking about. Scientology is a different thing and God bless him. But he doesn’t know his tail from third base about depression. Simple as that.” Wallace has gone public with his suicide attempt in the hopes of helping others. “I had never come clean about the suicide business and I thought to myself, ‘Yeah, look, I’ve had 20 extraordinary years since that episode.’” Cruise went head-to-head with Matt Lauer in June of last year, infamously calling Lauer “glib” on the subject of prescription drug therapy for depression.
