Sarah Jessica Parker recently told a British newspaper she and husband Matthew Broderick would rather have been in New York than anywhere else in the world in September 2001. “We were here during 9/11 and not even that could make us leave. We have this love affair with our city. We would rather have been here that day than in Los Angeles or Greece or anywhere else in the whole world. It’s this sense of community we feel. I thought. ‘Thank God we were here. I will go down with this island if I have to.’ I would never leave,” the Sex and the City alum said.
