Jake Gyllenhaal has offended Gulf War veterans by joking that they did nothing but “masturbate” while in the Gulf in 1991. After starring in Jarhead, which exposed the U.S. soldiers’ lack of combat during the war, the actor said, “The U.S. soldiers were sent to the desert for 122 days and they sat in the same tent and did nothing, except a little too much masturbating.”
Correction: Apparently Jake was misquoted here…and this is a line from Jarhead. Sorry! It’s being reported as a direct quote.
