Heath to be a no-show in his native Sydney
April 21, 2006 · Filed Under General

Heath Ledger will not attend the premiere of Candy, the first Australian film he’s made in years, because he will be looking after baby Matilda, and will instead promote the film from the U.S. A spokesperson for the film says, “We’ve been told he will not be attending due to commitments in the U.S. It is disappointing that Heath is not coming, but he’s never wavered in his support for this film. He is committed to promoting Candy and will conducting all press interviews for the film via satellite and the phone.”

It’s lovely that Heath puts Matilda first. So many fathers don’t get involved in taking care of the children when they are this young.
